Barely out of the Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the crew of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez quickly got back on track to organise the Voiles d’Automne.
Created in 1997 and open to yachts with an Osiris or IRC measurement certificate, the Autumn Sails event will take place on 11 and 12 November 2023 in Saint-Tropez.
This last regatta of the year in Saint-Tropez attracts a large number of competitors from the region and beyond, with more than sixty yachts competing at any one time!
For the second year, the event welcomes a fleet of crewed First 31.7s.
With a fine line-up of boats, including some podium regulars, the competition promises to be fierce!
With a month to go to the event, there were already around twenty boats entered. Among them are a dozen First 31.7s, plus some formidable contenders such as the Swan 42 ‘Raving Swan’ with Jérôme Stubler, the Cape 31 ‘Give me Five 31’ with Adrien Follin, and the ‘L’autre Femme’, ‘Bandit’, ‘Lady Jo’, ‘Bagatelle’, ‘Vito 3’, ‘Xantus’… all with seasoned crews!
Autumn in the Mediterranean generally offers more muscular conditions with a stronger wind. It’s a real treat for participants looking for thrills and speed.
The location, the conviviality on land and the organisation at sea make this a not-to-be-missed event at this time of year.
The regattas get underway at 11am on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November, before the prize-giving ceremony at 5pm on Sunday. As for the festivities, the SNST is hosting around 300 crew members, who will meet up after the regattas for the traditional crew party.
Another great competition to follow in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez!
