CIC 2023 Races 3 & 4 SOCIETE NAUTIQUE SAINT-TROPEZ

A beautiful weekend of racing under the sun of Saint-Tropez

The Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez started its regatta season in style with a magnificent weekend for Races 3 and 4 of the 2023 Interclub Challenge.

The great weather, light airs and flat seas made for two very competitive races. A great event that delighted all the participants before the next ARMEN Festival regattas that will take place from February 25th to March 5th 2023.

Even if the wind was capricious, especially at the start on Saturday, the 27 boats were able to set off for a race in front of the Saint-Tropez breakwater for two round trips.
Macaya to Marc Pons (IRC), La Miche to Maggie Kolodiège (OS1), Overdose to Sylvain Bretagne (OS2) and Catijee to Philippe Peyraverney (OS3) were leading the fleet on Saturday evening.

On Sunday, the water of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez looked more like a lake than a regatta ground and we had to wait until 12 o’clock and a light East wind for the race committee, chaired by Lionel Péan, to launch the fleet for 2 round trips between the citadel of Saint-Tropez and Cogolin.
Altaïr to Jean-Marie Bisbal (IRC), La Miche, Overdose and Catijee won the day’s round.

At the end of the two-day race, the sailing boats Altaïr Jean-Marie Bisbal CN Saint-Raphaël (1er IRC), La Miche Maggie Kolodiège CN Sainte-Maxime (1er OS1), Overdose Sylvain Bretagne Société Nautique Saint-Tropez (1er OS2) et Catijee Philippe Peyraverney CRNG de Grandville (1er OS3) are the winners of this sunny weekend.
