Created in 1978, the ARMEN Festival is a renowned and popular event (sometimes more than 70 yachts compete).
The name “ARMEN”, a contraction of ARt MEr Neige, is of course also a reference to the lighthouse of the same name.

In addition to the rankings for each discipline: Sailing, Skiing and Art, there are three prizes that the competitors compete for:

The “André Hermann” Challenge: best combined ski and sail ranking
The “René Perrier” Challenge: best combined Art-Sailing ranking
And of course, the Armen Trophy: best combined Art-Ski-Sailing ranking

Note that this event is counted for the IRC Mediterranean crewed ranking

THE MAIN PRINCIPLES OF THIS FESTIVAL :

– Honouring Art during the week of the Festival.

(A work of art must be created by one of the crew members of the participating sailboat on a theme defined in advance (See Art Contest Rules). Theme 2024: “Design of the ARMEN 2025 Festival All-Class Sailing Trophy”.

– The first weekend of regattas and, weather permitting, the event will consist of a different route: starting from Saint-Tropez, the yachts will sail to Cavalaire, returning the following day.

– A ski event organised on Friday at Auron

– A second weekend of racing in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
This event is open to modern OSIRIS Habitable, IRC and Traditional yachts.
