Aoutienne- TRP 2022 : A very nice edition in the wake of Robert Pourchet !
Divided into three groups, twenty-three Osiris or IRC yachts took part in two days of great racing under a blazing sun and a light wind in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. A beautiful weekend of regatta which ended in beauty at the Canoubiers Sailing School with a superb lunch with music and the prize giving.
The competitors once again responded to this traditional summer event initiated by Robert and France Pourchet 29 years ago. It is in their memory that all their family, including their children, Eric and Maud Pourchet and their grandchildren, Arthur and Stéphanie, have taken up the torch for the last three years by contributing to the event, thus allowing the event to continue in the same family and festive spirit!
Directed by Jean-Pierre Epoudry, the race committee of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez was able to deal with the high number of people in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez at this time of year and a variable wind to launch the races in the best conditions with courses from Beauvallon to off Les Issambres on Saturday and off Les Canoubiers on Sunday
All the sailors will be delighted to be able to rediscover the pleasure of racing, especially with family and friends. A great opportunity to transmit the passion of sailing to the youngest.
Tradition of the Pourchet family obliges, the competitors met on Sunday midday for a good moment of conviviality accompanied by professional musicians within the idyllic framework of the beach of Canoubiers. The Robert Pourchet Trophy was given to one of the most faithful crews to the event, that of JARO 7 of Alberti Musso, member of the SNST.
At the end of very competitive races, in the IRC group, Jérémy Combe’s crew BIM 3 won in front of Alberto Musso’s JARO 7 and Lionel Péan’s HERMITAGE crews. In the OSA Group, Giovanni Cappello’s BOOMERANG finished first ahead of Lionel Michon’s L’AUTRE FEMME and César Chuffart’s BANDIT.
In the OSB group, Christophe Fogel’s TOM TOM ET NANA team won in front of Jean-Claude Bertrand’s BLISS and Albert Decombe’s KAIROS.
