In 2024, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, with the support of the “Smeralda 888” Association, will be organising the 17th edition of the Coupe de l’Hippocampe (2020 and 2021 have been cancelled). Created in 2006, this event is reserved, by invitation, for “Smeralda 888” yachts (approximately 9m long) based in Monaco. With the participation of some of the world’s top sailing competitors, the regattas are not short of spice and take place over three days in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Four to five crew members are needed on board this “racy” 8.88 m x 2.50 m sailboat.
Among the participants, the famous “Vamos mi amor” by Charles of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, “Botta Dritta” by Adalberto Miani, “Mascalzone Latino” by Achille Onorato, “Bear Essential” by Ian Ilsey, but also “Ange Transparent”, “Beda”, “Black Star”, “Extravaganza”, “Kzi Modo
The Smeralda 888 events are held on the waters of Monaco, Porto Cervo, Elba and Saint Tropez.
